About the artist

Hi, I’m Cynthia

I’m a painter, a mom, and a recovering perfectionist, making whimsical, light-filled art in a little studio in Utah.

I took painting classes in high school and college, then life got full, the way it does. These days I paint in the in-betweens of a full-time job and family life. I work in acrylic with an oil overlay, building each piece in layers until it starts to feel a little magical.

I’m a recovering perfectionist, so I usually don’t love a painting until it’s about 98.5% done. Sharing my work is me practicing the messy middle, and learning that strangers on the internet are kinder than you think.

This year I painted a series for a children’s hospital with my kids. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and it’s a big part of why I’m finally sharing my art with the world.
